This was my first exposure to the Midnight Breeds series by Lara Adrian. I was delighted with Kiss of Midnight, the first book in the series. It was hot, it was steamy, and it was exciting. 3.75 Stars! Im not going to say that I didnt get into this book because I did. I was interested right at the beginning and I stayed interested even when I wasnt quite sure what was going on. The characters were what I had a hard time connecting with. Lucan sounded sexy and alpha but then he also seemed wishy washy which is never a favorite characteristic for me. Gabby was great but I couldnt understand her need to put herself in harms way over and over again. I am not a huge paranormal fan

I dont have the best track record with Paranormal Romance novels this is why. Its not a horrible story or anything, and if Paranormal Romance is your gig, you should enjoy it. Kiss of Midnight is the first book I've read by Lara Adrian. I found that the first book of the Midnight Breed series was interesting. I couldn't help but think that there are some similarities to the BDB. However, Adrian is capable of holding her own. Her writing just flows so beautifully.
