Relation As Books Once (Eve #2)

When you're being hunted, who can you trust? For the first time since she escaped from her school many months ago, Eve can sleep soundly. She's living in Califia, a haven for women, protected from the terrifying fate that awaits orphaned girls in The New America. But her safety came at a price: She was forced to abandon Caleb, the boy she loves, wounded and alone at the city gates. When Eve gets word that Caleb is in trouble, she sets out into the wild again to rescue him, only to be captured and brought to the City of Sand, the capital of The New America. Trapped inside the City walls, Eve uncovers a shocking secret about her past--and is forced to confront the harsh reality of her future. When she discovers Caleb is alive, Eve attempts to flee her prison so they can be together--but the consequences could be deadly. She must make a desperate choice to save the ones she loves . . . or risk losing Caleb forever. In this breathless sequel to "Eve," Anna Carey returns to her tale of romance, adventure, and sacrifice in a world that is both wonderfully strange and chillingly familiar.

Judgment Regarding Books Once (Eve #2)

Actual rating: 2.5 starsThis is a difficult review to write. Most of the things I want to talk about (good and bad) involve giving away huge spoilers.  Once has a pretty big plot twist early in the story - one that I'm almost ashamed to admit I didn't see coming - making it close to impossible for me to adequately express my thoughts. But I'm going to try really hard to give a nice little run down of the book without ruining it for you.Once picks up a few months after the events in Eve and our

(Source: I own a copy of this book.)This is book 2 in the Eve series, and picks up 3 months after the end of book 1 Eve.Eve has now been in Califia for 3 months, and has no idea what has happened to Caleb, or if hes even alive. When she hears that he might still be alive, she sneaks out to try and find him only to be captured by soldiers and taken to the city. Why is the King so desperate to get Eve? What has happened to Caleb? And what will happen to Eve now? This was a good story, and I liked it

The sequel to Eve proved to not just be a filler book like most sequels in a trilogy are. The same amount of action and events occurred during the course of the story as well. The twist in the story that you are represented with is a complete shocker. It was something that I honestly never expected. Luckily the sequel wasnt as depressing as the first book. It had a more determined feel and you see Eve grow as a character, from a scared little girl to a woman who should not be underestimated. It

Check this review out at our blog!1.5 StarsAfter reading Eve, I was at a sort of a loss. Eve ended with such a perfect ending to keep the reader dying for Once, I remember reading an excerpt of this book and thinking "Meh...." There was nothing truly spectacular about Eve. After all, many of its themes and plot devices were ones already used in dystopians for years, and all of the characters bugged me. So now I really wonder why I read Once because honestly, it was worse than I expected.Once

I love, love, love Once. And for all of you who have read Eve, you know what the three loves mean. Anna Carey is an awesome, awesome, AWESOME! writer and she has written an irresistible series with Eve. I couldn't believe Carey could leave me on a more heart-breaking, torturous cliffhanger than she did in Eve, but yes she did it again arrrrrr! Eve and Caleb are my kind of YA couple. Eve is a strong, take-charge heroine, and Caleb is my strong, fun loving hero. Eve and Caleb are steamy hot this

There are millions of stars, each one shining and burning out at the same time. They die like everything else - you have to appreciate them before they're gone
