Somehow this book manages to be both great and completely average at the same time. This is a quest into the emptiness of modern man and all of the things that we can gain by being truly ourselves. We are here to be ourselves and to know this life as only we can, and to find courage to do just that.
Great book...helps one delve into and understand one's self and others much more clearly.
In my opinion, this is a must read for everyone. I read this book for my Self-Leadership class and although it was written in the 1950s, it's still so applicable today. This book is largely about becoming your own person by challenging the idea of conformity.
really underestimated this book! another favourite of mine in the category existential psychology (although not as original as fromm or frankl)
