Extremely well explained book, mixing real history with some fictional characters, explaining the Catalonia of 1700's.

OH GOD, how do I even review this book? My knee-jerk reaction to finishing it was, FINALLY! The translator has done a wonderful job. The book has many beautiful passages, quotable lines and interesting reflections on war and other things. As research material into the era and for glimpses of the Catalan culture, it's 5 stars.
