Yes, the bittersweet comes with this book. The ending of a wonderful series and a well done ending it was. Reef and Kirra are both love able characters. The stories have been going on long enough that bad boy Reef is reformed and ready to get serious about life. When Kirra slips out of the SAR sight, it's only natural for Reef to follow and find himself in trouble with a girl he can easily fall in love with. After surviving one experience together without major frostbite, they find themselvesSabotaged by Dani Pettrey is book five and the final book in the Alaskan series. I am very sad to see it end. The author does an amazing job of capturing your attention and the book is halfway over before you realize it. If you've been following the series you may have wondered, like I did, how much I was going to like Reef as the main character. Sabotaged was a touching, thrilling, yet bittersweet conclusion to the Alaskan Courage series. Bittersweet just because I did not want to say goodbye to the McKenna family! I loved getting to know Kirra and Reef better. Dani Pettrey writes romantic suspense, and as this is my genre of choice. I jumped on Submerged when I came across it at the local Christian bookstore. I have truly enjoyed every one of the five books in the Alaskan Courage series featuring the McKennas siblings. One of my favorite things about books is when you have the same characters reoccurring, so as the reader, you can watch them mature and grow. Ok, I admit it, I'm in denial. This cannot be the end of the McKenna family saga. I have, over the course of five books, come to love this family and I am not ready to give them up. With each book, Dani Pettrey has continued to weave the powerful story of one family, the McKennas. Sabotaged book Five is The youngest male in the family, Reef's, story. Up to now we haven't learned much about him, other than the fact that he is a free spirit. Now he is home and is showing a very different Reef.

It was so hard to put down the book when real life called, and I devoured it in all my spare time and late into the night :) I thoroughly enjoyed Reef and Kirra's story, the last of the Alaskan Courage series.
