Relation Toward Books Sammy Keyes and the Cold Hard Cash (Sammy Keyes #12)

"The most winning junior detective ever in teen lit. (Take that, Nancy Drew!)" —Midwest Children's Book Review

Sammy Keyes has three wads of cold hard cash in her hot little hands. An old guy gave them to her. Well, actually, he told her to throw them away. Begged her. With his last dying breath. Which he was taking because Sammy had just scared the life right out of him. So . . . she’s got to get this man some help. She’s got to do it without being seen herself. And she’s got to figure out how to stash that cash. Aw, c’mon! You’d keep the money too, right? No one ever needs to know. . . .

The Sammy Keyes mysteries are fast-paced, funny, thoroughly modern, and true whodunits. Each mystery is exciting and dramatic, but it's the drama in Sammy's personal life that keeps readers coming back to see what happens next with her love interest Casey, her soap-star mother, and her mysterious father.

Judgment About Books Sammy Keyes and the Cold Hard Cash (Sammy Keyes #12)
This book served as my introduction to the Sammy Keyes series, and it did so wonderfully. I enjoyed the effect of introducing Sammy as a girl in the second chapter; it reminded me of the gender ambiguity in "To Kill A Mockingbird." And though Sammy's story is a bit unusual (her mother is a neglectful famous actress), her problems may be familiar to a lot of children (she has to illegally live with her grandmother in a seniors-only communicty and she barely has any money). I loved the set-up of

I am back again with another Sammy Keyes book. I am trucking through this series for several reasons. They are always such a light read for me to cleanse my palette so to speak. But also, I am nosy and I need to know how the author ended the series. While I am a big fan of Sammy and her sassy self, I did not care for this book at all. The author really focused on the size of one of the characters and took several disrespectful digs at her weight and I did not like that at all. And that is all I

have I mentioned how much I love Sammy? I do. This is book 12 in the series and so far there has only been one that I didn't love. That's not common in series that go on for more than a few books. However, this book mostly got me excited for the next one because of all the loose elements at the end - what will happen with Lady Lana and Mr. Acosta? and between Sammy and Casey? how will Heather treat Sammy now (though I'm sure it's safe to assume awful)?Fabulous. If you haven't read them, I

Sammy Keyes has some maturing to do. She is still only 13.As the story begins, Sammy is climbing up the fire escape one evening, only to encounter a man coming out of the fourth floor. She scares him to death, literally. His dying words are to get rid of the cash he has.So why did the man die? Why did he have so much money on him? And why did he want her to throw the money away? These are all questions Sammy must answer.

Sammy Keyes is a young girl who hold alot of adventures. The story begins when an old man give her three "wads" of "cold hard cash" in her hand. He told her to throw the money away and died shortly after that. Sammy wonders, why should she throw away all this money? She thinks of what she can buy with it but comes to the conclusion of buying a camera and a disguise to delve into why the man told her to throw away the money. I enjoyed reading this Sammy Keyes book because I love mysteries. As a

Sammy Keyes and the Cold Hard Cash is a fine addition to the Sammy Keyes series. I felt that while mystery was featured more in this story, it did not hold much interest for me. In the beginning, I suspected that the money Sammy received may have been counterfeit though I did not keep this in mind as I kept on reading. Several other situations were explored such as Marissa's crisis and her so-called rivalry with Heather. Sammy was kept well in character as usual and I could sympathize with her.

My middle-school self started this series. My adult self will FINISH this series.
